After a notice arrives by Belmont email, you must contact the University Representative within two business days — if you don't, it is treated as accepting responsibility and the Inquiry proceeds in your absence. An appeal of the outcome is likewise due within two business days, on three grounds: procedural error, new information unavailable earlier, or unreasonable decision-making. Do law and pharmacy students follow the same process?
No. Belmont's College of Law runs its own Student Code of Academic and Professional Conduct — adjudicated by associate deans, with appeals to the Academic Standards Committee and Dean — and it is tied to ABA Standard 501(b) and a continuing duty to disclose any charge, arrest, or conviction for bar character-and-fitness purposes. The College of Pharmacy uses its own Academic and Professional Standards Committee with a 10-business-day appeal and its own felony/drug self-reporting duty. These separate tracks make even unproven allegations consequential.
How does Belmont's academic honor system work?
